OK I’ve bottled it up long enough. I just have to do it to let it out.
Especially since Daphne has already admitted to it…

Once again, it’s time for this geek to review with you some of the tech news this week that has caught his attention.
(I’m still trying to find the most suitable and easy format for this weekly digest so do bear with me as the formatting changes from digest to digest for now.)
Xiaxue vs Dawn Yang
Two top bloggers breaking their friendship complete with lawsuits and managers getting involved. Not a pretty sight. Sometimes I wonder if it’s an attempt to get more traffic. In this case, doesn’t look like it. This one is really hard for this geek to make a judgement, so you judge for yourself
Ping.Sg - are you IN?
A big debate that’s ongoing right now, threatening to divide the Singapore blogging community. I’ve written my thoughts on it here.
LinkedIn gets its billion-dollar valuation
Well I’d say it’s about time since other less profitable social networks like Facebook have already crossed this valuation mark. Which other social network can have Bill Gates as a proud member of the community anyways?
Contenders to EeePC - MSI Wind and Acer Aspire One gets torn apart
Interesting breakdown of the two new gadgets. Read all about it!
Next Vista Media Center Leaked
Interesting especially for HD buffs, but not this geek, ye!
Gigabyte announces a 8.9in swivel screen notebook
I love swivel-screen notebooks ever since my first tablet PC in 2003. They are simply great for presentations. I still remember speaking in a Mac conference and just flooring everyone with my Compaq TC1000 with all the latest Macbooks and Powerbooks in front of me!
HP Blog Contest - Free Touchsmart PC!
Yes, you can win a free Touchsmart PC just by leaving a nice comment here! What are you waiting for!?

Computex 2008
One of asia’s largest and best IT shows in Taipei. I marked it down in my calender since last year but too bad I didn’t manage to go for it! Anyways, the rest of my friends at CNET managed to catch it so I’m linking it here ![]()
CNET News.com : At Computex, a big push for small PCs
Google fraud on mobile subscription services?
I know we’re sick and tired of Google fraud stories but this one has an interesting twist coz it’s about mobile subscription services. Is Google even involved in one? Why are they being sued for it!?
SearchEngineLand : Google Sued For “Fraudulent Mobile Subscription Services”
Singapore’s top blog aggregator Ping.sg Debacle
In a recent ’saga’ where Singapore’s top blog aggregator Ping.sg banned 10 blogs and resulted in uber negative reactions from Andrew Peters of Pacific West Communications. Andrew in his blog ‘aplink’ seemed to have gone literally berserk from multiple negative posts (he has since deleted the posts so I’m not linking his blog here - You can still see traces of it in the comments of these 2 posts though.) I do hope Andrew is alright.. and do cut Uzyn some slack there, it’s definitely not easy running Singapore’s top blog aggregator!
Ping.sg blog : Ping.sg is by bloggers and for bloggers only
WorkWhore :A new quarrel! Andrew Peters Vs Ping.sg
The 4th screen
Dunno what is the 4th screen? I’ve been talking about it ever since Nokia showed it to me almost a year back. Now Bernard Leong has kinda link the video… you HAVE to see it!
Simple is the reason of my heart : Nokia’s 4th screen ad
Have a great week ahead folks!
