Since 'the geek shall inherit the earth', this geek is just waiting for his day to rule the world. In the meantime, he is a young Padawan for CNET Asia whilst toying with a myriad of fun stuff disguised as work and pretending to advise companies on tech business and new media strategies. His playmates range from startups, (un)Fortune 500s, to government organisations. And JUST in case you were wondering, this blog is NOT about to make this geek a politician like his Malaysian CNET counterpart. Subscribe to Geekonomics by Email

But they knew it was a cause close to my heart having seen my tweets and sure enough, I decided to host a party to promote this cause amongst my friends. To start off, I checked with some friends what date was best for them and then sent out a video invite along with my email invite:
Guests who signed up received this ‘e-ticket’:

This geek’s disciple “GReekonomics” decided to throw a party to atone for his failure in learning his master’s true abilities:
Pretty excited about tomorrow’s party, though I’ve had absolutely no time to think about it nor plan it. Too bad the invites are ultra-limited and max-ed out already due to the limitation of the room booked.
A big sorry to all you reading this whom I couldn’t invite!
Woe to those who are coming though, for they have no idea what’s gonna befall them. Neither do I. Bwahahaha! Well, here’s a little hint for my 10-odd guests:

Many people tweeted this. Found it quite amusing that all the iPhone users are having problems at the US geekfest. No, I don’t think AT&T realises that geekfest is in Austin. Fail.
It’s been a while since I’ve been so excited over a new phone. Even though the Blackberry Bold has been around for a while and I’ve kinda resisted getting it for months. I was simply blown away when I finally got it. It’s like falling in love all over again. Sorry, I did say I’m a geek right?
I installed a nice theme on the desktop with 13 icons, loving it!
