Ravana and TH15 of Team 1MS has done Singapore proud by winning the Dawn of War 2 Asian Finals organised by Replay Interactive, THQ, and Gigabyte at the 2010 Taipei Game Show!
Besides USD1.5k cash, they also win for themselves a Gigabyte M1305 laptop each complete with an additional dock that has a graphics card to add on to your graphics capabilities.
It was a nail-biting finish between Singapore and Taiwan as Team 1MS lost the first round to the Taiwanese boys due to various hiccups. More on their exciting finals here.

19 Jan 2010 (Singapore) - Last Saturday was an exciting day for many of the Dawn of War II fans in Singapore. For the first time, Replay Interactive, as the distributor of the game, organised a tournament for the local Dawn of War II players. This event is part of a regional tournament - titled: Asia-Pacific REPLAY 2010 Dawn of War II Tournament - which will feature 3 local tournaments (Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan) and one regional tournament (to be held on 6 Feb at the Taipei Games Show 2010), pitting the best team from each representative country against one another for the APAC champion seat! Have you been reading this blog even though I’ve not been updating it for a while? At least the stats seems to hint at that.
Anyways, this geek has been really busy but you can still catch my weekly posts at my CNET Asia Blog where you will read about how I recently got involved with Singapore’s Blogathon and somehow by some miracle managed to win the Judges’ Choice Award after 24 hours of blogging. It was definitely a very unique experience that I wasn’t sure about in the beginning but came out of it with memories that will surely last a lifetime.
Anyways, I’ve been working on a book on gaming and new media which you’ve hear about soon enough as we are working on the publisher now. I’ve also got involved with a new site which you’ll hear about very soon.
It doesn’t look like I’ll continue blogging here anytime soon, but do keep the press releases and news coming, I’ll put them up as and when I can (and if I find them interesting enough of course).
