Since 'the geek shall inherit the earth', this geek is just waiting for his day to rule the world. In the meantime, he is a young Padawan for CNET Asia whilst toying with a myriad of fun stuff disguised as work and pretending to advise companies on tech business and new media strategies. His playmates range from startups, (un)Fortune 500s, to government organisations.

I stumbled upon this random page created for my blog, by Facebook apparently. Don’t have to time to investigate why or how it happened. But I take it as a wake up call for me to start a Facebook page for my blog so here it is, my brand new glorious Facebook page:

    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Geekonomics/101925233191279

Actually I’m away in Bangkok now trying to look inconspicuous with my red shirt so I don’t have time to update the page much yet. However, I just got a pair of free tickets to give away for the Wonder Girls Music Showcase in Singapore this weekend (Thanks to Sony Ericsson and also to Hillary for passing me her extra ticket) so I will be picking a winner to join myself and Hillary at the concert this Friday evening!

    How to join and win?

    1. Like my new Facebook page

    2. Tell us why you must go to this concert on the Facebook wall.

The answer we like the most wins!

    Terms and Conditions applies:

    1. Final decision is made by myself and Hillary and our decision is final. *evil laugh*

    2. Closing date and time shall be Thursday night 8pm Singapore time. The winner will be notified via Facebook with details on the ticket collection.

More information on the concert taken from http://entertainment.xin.msn.com:

Back for more island lovin’, sensational Korean group The Wonder Girls are set to take our city with their addictive pop hits and maniac dance moves

They once ruled the airwaves with their hit single,Nobody, thanks to its repetitive chorus and catchy moves that had folks from eight to 80 grooving to its retro beats.

One of Korea’s hottest girl groups and now a global pop phenomenal, The Wonder Girls, will be throwing their first official music showcase in Singapore courtesy of Sony Ericsson on Friday, 18 June 2010, 7pm at Marina Bay Sands.

You might have missed the vivacious quintet when they were in town for promotional activities early this year. To make up for the lack of showing during their first visit, fans now have an opportunity to jiggy up-close and get personal with the girls at their upcoming showcase.

Dubbed one of the "Top 8 girls groups to watch in the world" by Virgin Media, the Wonder Girls who are currently on a World Tour, will be taking time off their busy schedules for the Singapore showcase. Fans can expect them to perform their latest single, ‘2 Different Tears’ and a variety of other songs including their smash hit ‘Nobody’.
